In 2005, Pete and Louise Robinson bought this former butcher's shop and have turned it into one of the most popular restaurants in The Cotswolds. With casual dining, a warm and inviting atmosphere and an extensive menu to suit all tastes, The Old Butchers is a must-stop for anyone travelling to or through Stow on the Wold.

We have seating in the main restaurant or on our heated covered terrace, which is completely covered & heated.

Tuesday to Saturday

Lunch 12 pm to 2 pm

Dinner 6 pm to 9 pm

Please note we take our last booking 15 minutes before our closing time.

The maximum table size we accept is 6 people.

As we are a small restaurant sorry we do not have space for prams, if you require a highchair please request one at time of booking.

due to the size of the restaurant we only allow a small dog (under 10kg ) that must sit under the table , please let us know when booking.

Quality of life for our staff & ourselves is something we consider very import. We have decided to close for 6 weeks a year for us all to enjoy time with our family.

Sunday 22nd June until Monday 7th July 2025 (Re-open on Tuesday 8th July for Dinner at 6pm)

Sunday 19th October until Monday 27th October 2025 (Re-open on Tuesday 28th October for Dinner at 6pm)

Wednesday 24th December until Friday 26th December (Re-open on Saturday 27th December for Lunch at 12pm)

Sunday 15th Febuary until Monday 23rd Febuary 2026 (Re-open on Tuesday 24th Febuary for Dinner at 6pm)
